Her Majesty's Navies

The Royal New Zealand Navy still refers to her brethren navies as the Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Australian Navy and the United States Navy. Thankfully, she did not get the memo from 1968 Canada. Let us hope she never does. Sign the petition today!

New Zealand is currently expanding its navy, as we noticed the commissioning of HMNZS Canterbury the other day, and is looking for overseas experience: "We are always on the lookout for experienced people from other Navies who have the skills we are looking for. Security Clearance criteria effectively limit this to people with a history in the Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, US Navy or Royal Australian Navy."

  3. Just read that Admiral Sir Jonathon Band, the head of the Royal Navy, say of the Iranian fiasco "The events of 23 March were one bad day in our proud 100-year history. I can assure the British people that I will personally ensure the recommendations of this report are fully implemented."
Thought the Royal Navy was a bit older... Doesn't give cause for relief.
