Is there any way the Brits can simply skip over Charles and allow the next generation to succeed Elizabeth? This new crop seems to have so much more dignity than Charles. He's just such a dweeb. . .

Price Charles will succeed the Queen as the King. Thats the way it is and the way it should be. Price William will be King when his time comes. We don't simply "skip over" a rightful King just because he's had some bad press in the past.

From what I can tell I do not think there has been a particularly popular Prince of Wales since the 18th century, they all seem to have been unpopular and most of them go on to be perfectly decent kings.
The media have been incredibly unfair in their treatment of Charles ever since Diana gave that famous interview. I remember a few years ago reading an article by some fool who was really brutalising the Prince over the fact he spoke to his pet chickens. For gods sake, everyone talks to their pets. He was also criticied for wasting the nations resources on having multiple boiled eggs prepared, ignoring the fact he has his own chickens.
