At what point do we fight for our own values?
For all the current talk of Islamofascism, the British have been quick to shed more than the burdens of Empire; they've turned their backs on the lessons of appeasement. In an article by Jonathan V. Last of the Philadelphia Inquirer, he describes a couple of examples of English accomodation to intimidation that had passed my attention:England's chief inspector of prisons banned flying the flag of England on prison grounds because it featured the cross of St. George, which might be offensive to Muslims. Britain's version of the department of motor vehicles has also banned the English flag, as has Heathrow Airport.
It's one thing not to be able to fly the storied Union Flag that once flew alone against the Nazi wind for fear of being seen to support the BNP, but now one can't even fly the cross of St. George! Next they'll have to change the crests of Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta...
Time to start getting active and linking up with all those who share our fears which should be easy enough thanks to the links the Monarchist has provided on the right...

I started fighting this year and it was easy. I just did what I am doing below to everyone I meet.
Merry Christmas Monarchist. All the best for a healthy and prosperous 2007 to you and your family.
See how easy that was?
Ah well, at least it makes it difficult for the separatists... Not to mention the football hooligans. Now, if we could only contrive to get the Muslim Council of Britain to object to the Scots and Welsh flags, too, then we'd be laughing.
On the other hand, I can't help but feel that the present conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan would be given a certain Something by the sight of our troops going into battle under a crisp white flag emblazoned with a large, crimson cross. "Deus vult! Jerusalem has come!" and so forth.
Hehe... "EYES: HIDDEN" forsooth! Do you ever think about these marvellously modern phenomena and feel that it's probably time that you gave it all up and went to live in a cave in Sinai and herded goats? Perhaps I should talk to the Israeli embassy about taking up that Right to Return?

The heraldic police here. I apologize for being the editor of this site, and I am immensely grateful for the efforts of our growing team, but no illustrations please that diminish the site's monarchist aesthetic.
I have the honour to be,
your most humble and heraldic authority
Churchill said of the Munich appeasement of September, 1938:
"You were given a choice between war and dishonour. You chose dishonour, and you got war."
Eh? Oh, the burqa thing.
And my post about meeting was deleted. I wasn't exactly suggesting some kind of fascist rally. Organising a Monarchist-surrogate website that acts as a hub explicitly defending traditionalism and Britishness, promoting it through downloadable promotional materials, links to emailing MPs, organises online fundraising for social, educational, cultural, political organisations sympathetic to our cause etc, and acts as a clearing house of relevant net stories - would be good. Why not?
Sorry if the image I used was inappropriate; I hadn't meant to cause any offence but wished to simply call attention to the growing debate in Britain about ID cards AND the role of the burqa which I thought was perfectly encapsulated in that pic.
I found another site you should consider adding a link to under the heading "American Royalists": The Dominion of British West Florida at http://dbwf.net/
No no, I wasn't offended. It's just I'm trying to maintain a certain culturally inspiring aesthetic. Burkas nor Bono nor Bozo the Clown fit within that aesthetic. To get an idea of what I mean visit Andrew Cusack's site ("American Royalist" in the sidebar links). Every photo on his blog is pleasing to the eye. That's the kind of inspiration we should shoot for.
Beaverbrook
Gotcha.
