Hats off to Canadian Monarchists
By David Byers (Convenor of ACM in Country, New South Wales)
One of the great things the internet has acquainted me with is that fine body of people, the Canadian Monarchists. In the hurly burly of the debate, with republicans in Australia, one must be on one’s guard not to lose one’s dignity in the heat of argument. I can remember being in an online debate with one of those infuriating republicans, who simply continued to throw the old republican lines over and over again, when a young Canadian Monarchist stepped in and with calm and dignity destroyed this republicans “arguments”.
Visiting this wonderful website that has so many Canadians contributing has further developed my thinking. I am not just talking about one or two Canadian monarchists either; I see their post time and again on the net with their mixture of logical argument, dignity and loyalty to the Crown.
I urge Australian Monarchists to take note of our Canadian brothers and learn from them. To Canadian Monarchists, I say please keep up your good work and feel free to comment on Australian websites. GOD Bless Loyal Canadians!

Very nice blog. I'm a Romanian monarchist and pro ancient aristocracy. You get the same things over and over from republicans. It's like they use republicanism as an excuse to step on the poor and middle class. To modern republicans, a Republic = Globalisation.
It's so often about measuring the crown for their own head, I find, even now: the classic statement that they find it intolerable for every child but one to grow up in their country knowing they have the chance to be head of state some day, as if it is the single measurement of opportunity.
If you would be interested in the idea, I wanted to start a Monarchist-Royalist-Nobility forum where like-minded folks such as us can share their views and ideas. Would you be open to such an idea?
Sort of like a World Monarchist Society on the internet.
I already host a monarchist forum here: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/royalcello
